Economically priced, designed for universal use across broad range of CCFL-backlit LCDs Designed to be sold through ERG’s extensive distribution network, the SFW Series consists of only 12 part numbers that cover a wide range of OEM LCDs for ease of selection. Pricing is competitive with key offshore manufacturers, while functionality is superior, including wide input voltages and onboard dimming. Designed to complement ERG’s industryleading range of custom inverter lines, SFW Series inverters can be used in LCDs 5.7" to 19" diagonal for a wide variety of industrial applications. SFW Series inverters offer an extremely low profile (< 6 mm high), with wide input voltage and wide range PWM dimming. These feature-rich, highly intelligent inverters offer open lamp detection, onboard PWM dimming, and lamp current regulation along with a ruggedized transformer that has helped them test successfully at very wide temperature ranges. They are available in single-lamp (SFWA160JF) and dual-lamp (SFWB260JF) and, beginning in Q4 2009, quad-lamp versions. SFW Series inverters are in stock, with full customer engineering support.

Features
SFW Series inverters run more efficiently because they run on only one power conversion stage as opposed to the double conversion stage topology (buck followed by a Royer circuit) used in competitive inverters. SFWA Series inverters will easily dim to less than 5% brightness (compared to only 16% for some competitive inverters) SFW inverters offer superior dimming ranges overall. SFW Series inverters use one stage of resonant switching for the power transformation, which creates a very low EMI waveform with well below 10% THD, typically in the 4 to 6% range. ERG's Smart Force™ Driver Boards
Full-Function Power Supplies for LED-Backlit OEM Panels ERG has introduced a new generation of LED backlight drivers called Smart Force™ LED Solutions. ERG, the specialist in power solutions for LCD backlights since 1979, offers the widest selection in the industry of drivers for LED-backlit LCDs, with nearly 100 different LED drivers for more than 100 OEM panels. ERG's Smart Force™ LED Drivers are full-function, plug-and-play power supplies for LED backlighting units (BLUs) that maintain a constant current to enable the longest possible lifetime from LED backlights. They are compatible with virtually all OEM LCDs, with standard products from stock and the shortest lead times in the industry. The SFDL Series driver provides high efficiency power (max. current 180 mA) to LED rails used in LCDs up to 12.1” diagonal, with wide range dimming, wide input voltage and full brightness and enable control. It measures only 1.10” x 3.93” (27.9 x 99.8 mm), and is less than 8 mm high. It provides an onboard PWM dimming ratio of 1000:1 and external PWM dimming to 5000:1. The SFDE Series driver provides a plug-and-play solution with an outstanding cost/performance ratio for powering LED BLUs in LCDs up to 15” diagonal. It combines high-efficiency with an extremely low profile ( < 8 mm high), and a compact size (1.11” (28.2 mm) x 3.10” (78.7 mm). It provides brightness stability over a wide input voltage (10-20V), with external PWM dimming to 500:1, and is compatible with virtually all OEM LED-backlit panels. The SFDM Series is a really compact driver board – 0.96” (24.4 mm) x 2.19” (55.6 mm), with a profile of <5 mm. It provides brightness stability over a wide input voltage (8-20V), with external PWM dimming to 250:1, and is compatible with virtually all OEM LED-backlit panels. TFT-LCDs’ Featuring White LED Backlight Systems
To meet the demand for LED backlighting in the industrial market, Optrex has developed a full line of TFT- LCD with LED backlights. Several of these products feature long-lifetime, 60k hour, LED backlights that are field replaceable. Front of screen brightness levels range from 400nits to 800nits. Many of these displays also incorporate Natural Color Matrix (NCM), a color improving technology, for vivid color reproduction. Additional features include industrial standard CMOS and LVDS interface for easy system development, wide viewing angle up to 160 degree as well as a wide operating and storage temperature range. Available display sizes include: 5.7”, 6.5”, 8.4”, 10.4”, 12.1”, and 15.0”, with different resolution to choose. To ease the customer’s transition from CCFL display, many of the new LED displays have the same mounting locations and sizes, saving the customer re-design and development cost.
