A GOOD LAUGH BIG SPENDER—Our wedding anniversary was coming up soon, so I suggested we go someplace expensive to celebrate that special occasion. We did. My husband took me to a gas station and we filled up the tank. MISS RIGHT– I knew from the start that I had married Miss Right. It took me a little longer, though, to realize that her first name is Always. Shhh! A Sunday School teacher asked her class of 4 year-olds why it was necessary to be quiet in church. One bright-eyed lad’s hand shot into the air and he proudly guessed, “Because people are sleeping?”
NO RESPECT Some men are wearing shorts today to church. Can you beat that? Exposing knobby knees and hairy legs Much like a cat’s. Its never preached or taught against like it was years ago, What is their aim? "Where is the shame? Respect! Where did it go?

Failing banks; Stock Market Crash: Recession; Catastrophic illness; and a myriad of other events may leave your bank account penniless and your material resources depleted; but does this needs make you poor? The answer to this question depends on two things; your standard of value and your perceived source of supply. Our Lord taught us that we are not to be too concerned about material things. He said: Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:25-33 Material wealth is temporal, physical life is as a vapour, the earth shall wax old
as like a garment, but God and His Word are from everlasting to everlasting. Every time we pick up a U.S. coin or handle a dollar, we need to be reminded that it is inscribed: “IN GOD WE TRUST”. Solomon of old admonishes: Proverbs 3:5–6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. The Lord has promised that He would never leave us or forsake us. Being a Christian does not insulate one against troubles, or sickness or material loses. God may not rush to deliver you from some great crisis; but that does not mean He is uncaring and passive. It does not mean that He is punishing you. We know that all things work together for good to them who love the Lord, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 Faithful Christians should not put their trust in government, or their 401k’s or their stocks. God is rich in mercy and grace. Paul said: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. Php 4:19 Nothing can take Christ away from you. Nothing can separate me or you from the love of God. So in Him, we are rich beyond measure.

Isaiah 40—66 God’s Message Of Comfort And Consolation
The book of Isaiah contains 66 chapters. Some have said it is the entire Bible in miniature form. The first 39 chapters deal with Law and judgment. The second part, chapters 40-66 are filled with grace, forgiveness and promise. Isaiah is called the “Messianic Prophet", because of his many prophecies that were fulfilled in Jesus. The New Testament quotes and applies more scriptures from the book of Isaiah than any other Old Testament prophet. Isaiah was God’s spokesman to Israel and Judah, exposing their sins and pleading with them to repent. He warned of judgment to come; but also foretold of a wonderful future with their salvation at the coming of Christ..
