Classroom News What We Will Learn: This week we will continue our work with this unit’s Essential Question - “Why do the sun and moon capture our imagination? Our phonics skill for the week will be “bossy r” as it affects the vowel “u”, or /ur/. This /ur/ sound can also be found with “ir” and “er” spelling patterns. We will be continuing our work with Module 4. This module focuses on place value, comparison, and addition/subtraction to 40. We will be continuing our work in Writer’s Workshop, where we will be writing reviews of various things, such as collections, restaurants, and movies.

Homework: Monday: Home Reading and Module 4 Lesson 5 p. 21-22 Tuesday: Home Reading and Module 4 Lesson 8 p. 35-36 Wednesday: Home Reading and Module 4 Lesson 9 p. 39-40 Thursday: Home Reading only and Module 4 Lesson 10 p. 43-44 Friday: Home Reading

Important Dates: April 1st – Primary Hour begins April 10th – Science Night with Tifa Gelato April 15-19 – Spring Break

Volunteer Needed: PTA is getting ready for our "Under the Big Top" Spring Fundraiser. Each class will have a Class Basket in the Silent Auction and they need your help! Class basket coordinator volunteers are needed. If you are interested in becoming a class basket volunteer for your child(s) class, please let me know!
