KL Sentral is the first Cybercentre in the country and functions as an extension to the MSC Malaysia to provide more choices and growth to the ICT and Creative Multimedia industries. KL Sentral Cybercentre Management in supporting the MSC Malaysia initiative via 2 key components Creative Innovation Centre (CIC) Showcase

Incubation Centre (INC)

MRCB Technologies Sdn Bhd - the One-Stop Centre for all MSC Malaysia Status Companies located in the KL Sentral Cybercentre vicinity. Focused to be the reliable and trusted one-stopcentre readily available to attend to your enquires, complaints, suggestions and feedbacks.

CREATIVE INNOVATION CENTRE (CIC) The CIC is a MSC hub where all ‘Made In Malaysia’ MSC Malaysia products ‘n’ services are displayed and exhibited. A centre where professionals and students show-off their latest products ‘n’ technology, and in return increases the product’s market value. Showcase Area: Digital wall screens – Plasma TVs (Creative Multimedia Content Display) - functions as a showcase unit, uploaded with products and technologies - for screening and showcasing of professionals’ and students’ works in digital form  MDeC information Kiosk screen - MSC Malaysia information Resource Centre: Creative Library - A selection of local and international books & reference in the various creative multimedia sectors

Objectives for CIC 1.

To showcase, educate, provide facilities support and promote MSC Malaysia/MDeC, particularly in the ICT and creative content industry.

To provide the missing link in the Cyber Industry that covers a wide range of Digital Multimedia Content.

To create awareness of the MSC Malaysia to the general public.

To stimulate interest among the creative and innovative minds of Malaysians to pursue their career in the field of ICT.

To serve as a one-stop information centre for the MSC Malaysia/MDeC sectors.

To serve as an avenue for marketing of the ICT and creative multimedia product/ content and services.

To offer the global connectivity, investment opportunities, business convenience and international environment.

NCUBATION CENTRE (INC) Objective - Catalyze a highly competitive cluster of Malaysian creative multimedia companies that become world-class over time. The Incubation Centre houses “Early Stage Growth Companies”  Seed-Level Companies entities that have been incorporated within the past two years and have ideas or concepts that require funds for proof of concept.  Start-Up Companies entities that have been incorporated or have been in business for a short time and require capital for commercialisation of their products/solutions. These companies may not be generating profits yet.

General Criteria for Application  Creative companies, preferably in games, animation and post-production/visual effects (Creative Multimedia Content Developers)  Early Stage Growth Companies  Non-MSC Malaysia Status company  Local equity is required and the term is apply to JV company  Not relocating from Cyberjaya or other Cybercities/Cybercentres  Max 8 staff per incubatee company/enterprise  Potential to showcase products/services in the CIC  Products/services must have commercial potential  Maximum tenancy period: 2 years  Minimum tenancy period: 6 months  Annual sales turnover not more than RM500,000 per year (for renewal)

Background Allocated 10 spaces for incubatees (3 spaces @ 229 sq ft. & 7 spaces @ 111 sq ft.) Current available space as at Mar ‘09 – 2 x 229sq ft @ 4 x 111 sq ft A monthly service charge of RM1.50 per sq foot is applicable. Free internet access (1MB broadband), water, electricity and air-cond (24/7) First batch application - early 2007
