Past Events Recap •
Masquerade Charity Ball: The Black and White Masquerade Charity Ball was a success in which over 100 people came and around $1100 was made. Also, other Phi Theta Kappa Chapters came to this event, such as Essex, Hudson, and Maryland. After going over the final figures, the profit will go towards the Down Syndrome
Research and Treatment Foundation. Thanks to everyone who helped make this event possible. I appreciate all the help. •
Belmar Beach Clean-up: The Belmar Beach Clean-up had a good turnout in which 9 people from our Chapter came and picked up around 14lbs of garbage. There were several other Phi Theta Kappa Chapters, such as Essex County, Hudson County, Bergen County, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Maryland. For the next beach clean-up, some ideas were thrown out such as cleaning up Atlantic City, Sandy Hook, or Hudson River.
2. Future Events: •
Relay for Life: This event will take place on May 29th, 2009 from 6pm to 8am in the Memorial Field in Cranford, NJ. So far, we have made around $500 for Relay for Life. There will be a luminary table out on May 11th-12th from 10am-2pm or 3pm-5pm. Pictures are needed for the Memory Board, in honor of individuals who died of cancer, the deadline for pictures is May 10th. We are currently have Suns/Moons which are on sale for $1 in order to raise money for Relay for life.

Video-game Tournament: This event has been pushed up towards sometime in November, just in time for the Holiday Rush. For the future event, we will need four to five weeks to advertise the event. Over the summer, Corporations will possibly be contacted for donations for the
event. Earnings for this event will go towards the Child’s Play Charity. More information to come next semester.
3. Miscellaneous •
Iota Xi Annual Dinner: The Annual Dinner for Phi Theta Kappa members will take place on May 19th 7.00pm sharp at the Spanish Tavern on Route 22, Mountainside. The purpose of this event is to celebrate graduates and new officers, pass out awards, and have a great time. The price for tickets will be $10, which includes 3-course meals and beverages. Any Phi Theta Kappa member is eligible to come.

Blood Drive: For the next blood drive, we will participate with the Community Blood Counsel. They are currently offering a scholarship of $1000 for chapter service. Our goal next semester is to get around 100 people.
There will No Phi Theta Kappa meetings until the Fall Semester. Congratulations to all graduates this semester and thanks towards all members who helped made our events successful throughout the year. Enjoy your summer break!!!
