All - USA Community College Academic Team program 22 selected to the national team, each receiving a $2,500 stipend and medallion Presidents or designated nominators submit up to 2 nominations from each campus of their institution • Must be enrolled at a community college through December 2009. • GPA of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale for all coursework completed in the last 5 years (fall 2004-present), regardless of institution attended. If the student has attended more than one school, all transcripts will be recalculated to determine the cumulative GPA for all college-level coursework taken. • On track to earn an associate or a bachelor's degree. • A minimum of 36 semester (or 48 quarter) college-level credits completed at or transferred to a community college by December 31, 2009 and 48 semester (or 72 quarter), college-level credits by August 31, 2010. Students must have a minimum of 30 semester (or 45 quarter), college-level credit hours completed at a community college in the past five years. • Must not have been nominated previously for the All-USA Community College Academic Team or the Coca-Cola All-State Community College Academic Team. • College record free of suspension, probation or other serious disciplinary action. • No criminal record, and if a convicted felon, must have all conditions of sentencing, including probation, completed. • •

Coca - Cola All - State Community College Academic Team • The top scoring student from each of the 50 states will be named a New Century Scholar and will receive a $2,000 stipend. • 50 students will be named Gold Scholars, receiving $1,500 • 50 students will be named Silver Scholars, receiving $1,250 • 50 students will be named Bronze Scholars, receiving $1,000. • A state may have multiple Gold, Silver, or Bronze Scholars. • All scholars will also receive special medallions and will be listed in USA TODAY on Monday, April 19, 2010. 150 national finalists will be selected from multiple states, each receiving a $1,000 stipend.

New Century Scholar $2,000 stipend awarded to the top scoring Coca Cola All-State Community College Academic Team nominee in each of the 50 states in the U.S.

All - State Academic Team • Students nominated to the national AllUSA/All-State Academic Teams are automatically named to the All-State Academic Teams. • Ranking on the All-State teams is generally determined by the student's score in the national competition. • All-State Team members receive special recognition at these ceremonies including medallions and certificates and may include stipends and scholarships

Frank Lanza Memorial Scholarship • Students in nursing, respiratory care and emergency medical services. • Up to 25 students will be awarded $1,000 stipends, to be used for degree completion while enrolled at the community college

Guistwhite Scholarships Enrolled through December 2009. • Active member of Phi Theta Kappa. • On track to earn a bachelor's degree. Students need to have a minimum of 45 semester (or 60 quarter) college-level credits completed at or transferred to a community college by December 31, 2009 and 53 semester college-level credits (or 79.5 quarter credits) by August 31, 2009. • Applicant must have a minimum of 30 semester college level credits (or 45 quarter credits) completed at a community college in the last 5 years (fall 2004-present). • Applicant must hold a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in all college-level coursework completed in the last five years. • The applicant should expect to transfer to a four-year institution in 2010. At the time of transfer to a regionally accredited four-year institution, the student must be admitted with junior-level status in his/her major program of study and be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours per semester. • Must have a community college record free of suspension, probation or other serious disciplinary action. Nominee must not have a criminal record, and if a convicted felon, must have all conditions of sentencing, including probation, completed. •

Leaders of Promise / GEICO Business Student Scholarship • Member in good standing A minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA at time of application on all college-level coursework. • Part-time and full-time students are eligible to apply. • Members who have completed 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) or less of college-level coursework by January 31, 2010, are eligible to apply. • Must not hold an associate or bachelor degree from any community college or four-year college. • Enroll at a community college for the fall 2010 semester in a minimum of six semester credit hours. • The student's record must be free from suspension, probation or other disciplinary action. • The student's record must be 1) free from any criminal conduct, or 2) if a convicted felon, must have completed all conditions of sentencing, including probation.

The Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships • $30,000 per year to each of approximately 50 deserving students selected annually • Covers educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees – for the final two to three years necessary to achieve a bachelor’s degree. • Awards vary by individual, based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships he or she may receive. • Must be nominated by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Faculty Representative at their two-year institution. Students cannot apply directly to the Foundation. • Each two-year college may nominate up to two students each year to be considered for the scholarship.

Nota Bene • Publishes outstanding entries submitted by Phi Theta Kappa students. • Most outstanding submission will be presented with the Citation Scholarship, an award of $1,000. Four manuscripts will be chosen to receive Reynolds Scholarships, awards of $500 each Poetry, short stories, essays, and drama • No single entry may exceed 2,500 words. • A member can enter as many manuscripts as he or she wishes, in as many categories.
