1. Officers Meeting
Officers please stay afterwards for a brief meeting. Today’s meeting will end 15 minutes early for the officer’s meeting.
2. Hallmarks
Robyn and Shiela are working on hallmarks. Dr Brown is not officially retiring till next year. Ibti and David are working on a hallmark for Dr Smith. Hallmarks are due January. Dec 12th is a workshop on hallmarks from 9 to 12. It’s in Pennsylvania and there will be a sign up sheet for those who wish to attend.
3. Repets
The Repets project is this Saturday. It’s from 10 to 1:30 but we’re meeting there at 9:30. Repets are pets made of recycled materials, mainly toilet paper and paper towel tubes. We’ll be directing children on how to make them for the Elizabeth coalition. An idea for repets is to have birth certificates for the pets.
4. Seminar Series
Tomorrow is the satellite seminar. Raritan Valley Community College will be attending. It will take place in the north lecture hall starting at 7pm. The topic is “If you’re so rich, how come you’re not happier?” We need a budget of around $50 to $60 and fliers to invite professors.
5. Art Exhibit
The Rotunda has immovable furniture, but the hallway outside of the Rotunda has been offered to us, as well as the reception area. The art will be visible to everyone.
We need to email Gaba about the date. March 26th is our proposed date. Unfortunately the paradox of affluence ends on January 1st, so we may need to fit the exhibit into the new honors topic.
We need a survey for the panel last week.
6. NJ State Phi Theta Kappa President’s Gala
It’s from 5:30 to 11:00 on January 29th. Proceeds will go to relay for life and the chapter scholarships. Alumni and SGA will be invited, as well as all members of Phi Theta Kappa, the staff, and students. The cost per person is $15, and carnival
masks will be provided to each of those who attend. There will be hors d'œuvres, mocktails, and music. The dress code is formal.
Next Meeting: Thursday, December 3rd at 12:30 PM in the alumni conference room in the Nomahegan building.
