UOG Soroptimist Sigma Society Minutes of the Meeting November 13, 2008 SBPA Rm. #112 I.

CMTO A. The president, Keo Cruz, called the meeting to order at 3:37 P.M. II. Old business A. Halloween candy grams 1. Sold a total of 176 2. Decided to sell remaining candy grams as a Christmas fundraiser B. Halloween pumpkin carving contest 1. Special thanks to those who volunteered their time to help create Soroptimist’s entry in the contest; “Chamorita” pumpkin turned out beautiful! C. Club t-shirts 1. Goal is to purchase some T-shirts (with Soroptimist logo) for members before end of this semester D. SIM Women in Business Conference 1. Conference will be held at SBPA on November 21 (Friday), from 8:00 A.M. to 4:45 P.M. 2. Soroptimist members will oversee conference registration 3. Please wear professional attire E. “Lucky Duck Derby” 1. Event will be held at Onward Resort on November 22 (Saturday), from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. 2. Volunteers so far include Nacrina, Matt, Eileen, and Maelei F. Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive 1. Will benefit Alee Shelter 2. Boxes will be placed in different classrooms 3. Each member is responsible for one box (can pick up a box by Monday at Dr. Santos’ office) 4. Canned food will be collected at the end of each week until Thanksgiving III. Adjournment 1.
