Sales sheets will be due on October 21 and candy grams will be distributed to members on October 28 2. Requests a. Members can e-mail Keo any requests for specific candies B. Thanksgiving canned food / clothing drive nominations 1. Chair / Co-chair a. Keo opened the floor for any nominations for a chair and co-chair who will oversee this special project b. Members who volunteered to be part of this committee are: i. Yuka ii. Bryan iii. Maelei iv. Matt C. SIM Women in Business Conference (November 21) 1. Keo will provide further details about the conference after she consults with Ms. Denise Mendiola Hertslet, SIM Immediate Past President New business A. A. There will be a colloquium discussing struggle of people in Okinawa against militarism and status of Dugong case 1. Who: Dr. Miyume Tanji 2. When: October 15, 2008, at 2 P.M. 3. Where: RFK AV Room 1 B. Keo introduced Angela Gogue, the former president of Soroptimist Sigma Society (Fall 2007 – Spring 2008). Angela shared her memorable experience with the members.
