New Generation DFSS ® Roadmap January, 2009
Seite 0
What is Innovation?
Innovation is the creation of wealth to the organizations and value to the customers through improvement or introduction of new products or services.
Seite 1
Innovation & Business Success
•Innovation and new product development influence for business success are very high. •Innovation should not be left to chance. •To mitigate the high commercial risks and for business success, innovation should be consciously controlled and should be an efficient, methodical business process, not a random, wasteful one.
Seite 2
New Generation DFSS
With the „New Generation DFSS ®” thinking and innovation tools “iTools ®”, Innovation, Product and Process Development understanding will be changed. It is time to leave the obsolete DFSS Tools and set a new DFSS standard practice for the execution of innovation and robustness oriented design projects and for Business Success. We need to do for Innovation and robustness what W. Edwards Deming and others did for Quality.
Seite 3
New Generation DFSS
Innovation is not the proprietary of R&D or a single person who has an inventive idea, Innovation is a structured, systematic and disciplined way of work for a cross functional team. We aim to turn innovation from an uncertain and random process to one which rigorously and unambiguously identifies and exploits the leading opportunities for business growth and sustainable competitive advantage through new product development.
