Letter from the President Just when I thought Spring was almost here, we get our biggest snow storm since 2007! It’s so lovely to see everything glistening and covered with snow, but I’m happy to hear warmer weather is just around the corner! With this being my final President letter, I have to say it has been such an honor to serve as your President these past two years. I had pretty big shoes to fill, and I have to say I was little nervous about taking on such a role. Over time, I became more confident, and I truly feel I have served you well. I must say

this chapter would not be as amazing as it is without the dedication and support of my officers and coordinators. Without them, our chapter would not be what it is today!

Thank you so much for all that you have done these past two years! I’m confident our new team of officers and coordinators will continue to “do good” and grow our chapter. We are 100 members strong!

I hope to see you at Founders Day on Saturday, March 21! This is an opportunity to honor our three founders and the fraternity. Once again, we will be sharing this special day with the ladies of Beta Epsilon. Again, thank you for the opportunity to serve as your President. It has been an extremely rewarding experience. ITB, Tonya Richardson, Epsilon Chi WDC President

Alumnae Panhellenic Scholarships If you are going to be continuing your education, don’t forget to submit your application for the WDC Alumnae Panhellenic Scholarship! This is an excellent opportunity to help you with your education and a show of support from fellow Greek women. As a reminder, to be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a member in

good standing, a student in Fall 2009 and either from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area or attending school in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Applications are due by March 15, 2009. The application form is on our website, www.wdcdeltagamma.org. These scholarships couldn’t be

possible without the generous support of Delta Gammas and other area Greek women so thank you to all of you who generously donated. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Stephanie Craig at [email protected].

Founders Day Speaker: Stephanie Craig Stephanie Craig was initiated into the Alpha Theta chapter of Delta Gamma at the University of North Dakota in 1994. Originally from Canada, Stephanie graduated in 1997 with a degree in communications and international studies. She also has a Master's Degree from the George Washington University. During her time at North Dakota, Stephanie served both Delta Gamma and the Panhellenic Community. She served as President of the University of North Dakota Panhellenic Council as well as Northern Vice President of the MidAmerican Greek Council Association, the largest undergraduate Greek leadership confer-

ence in the country. Stephanie is the Washington, D.C. alumnae chapter's current Panhellenic Representative. In her professional life, Stephanie was, most recently, the political director for America Votes in Pennsylvania during the 2008 election cycle. Pennsylvania was one of the biggest battleground states in the nation. Stephanie has held senior communications positions on Capitol Hill, in the Canadian Parliament and on the campaign trail. She’s had the rare privilege of working in both the House and Senate in the United States and Canada. She has served as spokesperson and strategist for

Senator Byron Dorgan, Congressman Earl Pomeroy and Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, now a candidate for U.S. Senate. In Canada, Stephanie worked on Parliament Hill as Communications Director to a Cabinet Minister and advisor to a Member of Parliament. On the campaign trail, Stephanie served as a provincial deputy campaign director and as media liaison for the Prime Minister’s advance team during three elections. Stephanie lives with her husband, Matt, on Capitol Hill.
