CCV DIAPER DRIVE

PHOTO SHOOT

Many thanks to everyone who donated to the CCV diaper drive. This year we collected a total of 36,024, an amazing achievement. Of those, a large percentage were organic and biodegradable. The diapers will be delivered to CCV and will supply the needs of the 80 children living there for up to 6 months. They will be most gratefully received. Thank you MS for your great effort in this drive. Winning homebases of the non uniform day are: Grade 5 – Mr. Patterson, Grade 6 – Mr. Ayling, Grade 7 – Mr. Peabody and Grade 8 - Ms. Piper.

The Photo Shoot is scheduled from October 19 to 22, 2009 in Room 1188 (Changing Room). • All students will be photographed regardless of purchase. • Each class will have a scheduled time for the shoot during the week. • Students must wear their school uniform during the photo shoot.

Due to flooding and closure of local schools many of the games will have to be rescheduled. Please consult the game schedule carefully for the latest updates and times! 2nd SEASON ATAC SPORTS ARE: Basketball, Tennis, Touch (girls only), Rugby, Cheerleading TRYOUTS DATES: November 3, 4, 5, & 6 2nd SEASON PRACTICE SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL BEFORE THE OCTOBER BREAK. FIRST SEASON IASAS CHAMPIONSHIPS: This time next week our Volleyball and Cross Country teams will be battling it out in Taipei for the chance to be crowned IASAS Champions for 2009 in their respective sports. After a fantastic effort last year with all ISM teams taking SILVER MEDALS we can only hope that they can go one better and bring back GOLD. Good luck to all athletes and coaches. Here in Manila IASAS SOCCER will be in full swing next week. It is sure to be a great event for our school and I hope that all the ISM community will get behind our teams during the tournament. Our boys’ team has been riddled with injuries the past few weeks so we hope that all members of the team can recover in time and put on their best performance for the home crowd. Our girls’ team is of course the two times defending IASAS Soccer Champions and will be desperate to hold on to their IASAS Champions status for a third year in a row. Please come out and support our two teams during the IASAS Soccer Championships at ISM. Let’s make it a truly special ISM event! PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED MATCH SCHEDULE FOR IASAS SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15 TO SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2009 As first season draws to a close and IASAS Soccer/Volleyball/Cross Country Championships are being battled out in Manila and Taipei it is fitting to recognize the efforts of all the student athletes and coaches that have worked hard and devoted many hours of time to our first season sports. On behalf of the ATAC department, I would like to thank everyone who has played a role, large or small during this first season. Please see below for information related to the end of season awards. MS First Season Sports Awards: ES Gym, Thursday, October 22nd 4:00-5:00 P.M. – All MS teams (Soccer/Volleyball/Cross Country) Food and drinks provided. Coaches will present awards and certificates to our first season team members. Please come and join us.
