State when Sulu broke away from Brunei’s control.
State the reason why Southern Philippines supported Sulu rather than Brunei.

State who were the sea nomads of Brunei.
State the importance of the sea nomads to Brunei.
State why Brunei need protection in the 18th Century.

ORAL QUESTIONING This is done to check the students’ understanding on the topics taught.
ACTIVITIES Example of activities can be in group work in the form of role play. The characters include 1. The Sultan (Sultan Saiful Rijal) 2. Pg Bendahara Sakam 3. Pg Seri Lela 4. Pg Seri Ratna 5. Dr Francisco De Sande 6. Spanish missions ( two students) 7. Brunei warriors and Spanish armies ( remaining students)
REARRANGING PICTURES Students do this activities, whereby teacher distributes paper cutting of the Castille war randomly. The students’ task is to arrange the pictures in their proper sequence on the
whiteboard. This activity is actually to stimulate the students’ interest and recall of the lesson taught.
