Day 2 – Weather

Summer Camp 2006

 Students will gain knowledge of common weather related terms.  Students will read a book which introduces some weather items.  Students will learn about the various forms of precipitation.  Students will play games to help develop English thought process.

Vocabulary

 Students will sing a song to help familiarize their knowledge of the weather. Foggy, cloudy, cold, warm, rainy, sunny, windy, humid, stormy, snowy, cold, cool, warm, hot, precipitation, rain, snow, sleet, hail, freezing rain.

Weather Word Find



Have students repeat the words on the right.



Give students 5 minutes to find and circle words.



Weather Word Scramble



In pairs, students unscramble the words.



Have students come to the board and write answer.



Storybook – The Wind and The Sun



Divide students into groups for role-play.

Students take turns reading the story.
