Lebanon Road Report April 19, 2009 Not even a good Spring rain could keep us from having a great Sunday at Lebanon Road. While it rained outside, things were wonderful inside! The most important news of the day is that we welcomed a new Christian to the Lebanon Road church. After talking with his parents for some time, Alex Witt met with JD and me yesterday and decided to put Christ on in baptism at the close of our evening services. Alex is a great young man with a wonderful family. We were blessed to see his conversion. It was also special in that he asked his dad, Alan, to baptize him. Here are some pictures of that great event:

We were blessed to have 345 in worship yesterday morning, including many visitors. While that was down just a bit, it didn’t stop us from having a truly uplifting service. I continued through the book of Titus, entering chapter 3. There is just one more lesson in this series, but it’ll have to wait, because I’ll be away next Sunday, holding a Gospel Meeting in Illinois. In other news…

LRR page 2 After our evening services last night, we enjoyed a great period of fellowship. Our fellowship committee planned an “After Taxes, Slim Pickin’s Meal,” and it was enjoyed by a great number who stayed for the fellowship. The fellowship hall was decorated in a “tax” theme. Here are some pictures (yes, the placemats were laminated 1040’s!).

It’s a joy to be at a place where we enjoy being together so much. About 100 folks stayed to eat and fellowship together, and we had a great time. Uplifting worship. A new Christian. Joyous fellowship. What more could one ask for on the Lord’s Day? Won’t you come see why we think Lebanon Road is such a special place?
