LESSON PLAN School: Şcoala Gimnazială Tisău Teacher: Chiagă Roxana Textbook: Snapshot Elementary, Longman Grade: 6th Date: 27th of February 2015 Title of the lesson: Into the Jaws of Danger General goals: -to improve students’ reading and listening skills on the topic of dangerous past events Specific goals: By the end of the lesson my students will be able to: -speculate about the content of a text by exploiting the meaning of the pictures and of the headline -identify the meaning of words from the context given by the text - summarise a story -listen for specific information -name different facts about sharks. Types of interaction: Teacher-Student; Student-Student Activities: picture exploitation, listening, summarizing, reading. Aids: books, notebooks, laptop, PPT presentatiom. Timing: 50’ Activity

-T asks students to take a look at the words from exercise 1 /a/61 and to read the text in order to try and guess their meaning working in pairs. -T checks their answers and helps them by explaining the meaning of the words they did not understand. -T asks students to work in pairs and put the sentences from exercise 1.b in the correct order.
