Emergency Medical Dispatch  Instructor Form  This Trainee Guide is intended to be used as a learning tool for the National Highway Traffic Safety  Administration Emergency Medical Dispatch National Standard Curriculum.  The purpose of this  training course is to provide instructor trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary to instruct  the basic EMD program for Emergency Resources. 

 

The Instructor Trainee Guide has been developed with the needs of the beginning Emergency  Medical Dispatch Instructor (EMD‐I) in mind.  It allows you to follow the Emergency Resources, EMD  student manual presentation format during the EMD training course. This Trainee Guide is not  intended to serve as a user manual, but to be used as a guide to the EMD training course participants.    This Trainee Guide and Student Manual establish the NHTSA standard curriculum for EMD.  It  represents the required content of any EMD curriculum.    This course primarily focuses on end user productivity in teaching the Emergency Resources basic  EMD program.

  *This course authorizes you, the EMD Instructor, to teach EMD using the Emergency Resources, L.L.C., Emergency  Medical Dispatch program only.  You may teach for your agency or contract with Emergency Resources, L.L.C. to  instruct at another given location for a negotiated fee.  This certification does not entitle the holder to teach any  other program unless that program designee accepts certification.
