Excerpt from POET IN EXILE I Know Your Heart Has Been Broken (Sonnet) By Ricardo Saul LaRosa

Why won’t you give me a chance, sweet lady, To visit your world; let me make my case for your heart, Why torment my mind making me go madly, It’s not my fault that another’s torn your heart apart, Since the first day my eyes glanced upon thee, I knew you were the one I’ve been waiting for, One who’ll unlock my chains of loneliness to set me free, We’ve both suffered in love and wish to cry no more, I know your heart has been broken, Torn apart unmercifully without any compassion, You’ve cried endlessly of pains unspoken, I’d gently caress them away with my love’s passion, Let me into your life, sweetness, giving us chance, To know one another in a wonderful romance.
