A. Ideal Body Weight 60 kg + 2.3 kg (for each inch over 5 feet) 60 kg + (2.3 kg x 6) IBW=73.8 kg

B. Energy for BMR Harris – Benedict Equation BMR = 66 + (13.7 x weight in kg) + (5 x ht. in cm) – (6.8 x age in years) =66+ (13.7 x 60 kg) + (5 x 167 cm) – (6.8 x 28 y/o) =66 + (822) + (835) – (190) =1533 or 1530 kcal

C. % Ideal Body Weight ABW / IBW x 100 % 60 kg / 74kg x 100 % % IBW =81 %

D. Total Caloric Requirement TCR = BMR x Activity Factor x Injury Factor *Activity Factor = 1.6 *Injury Factor = 1.4 BMR = 1530 kcal TCR = 1530 kcal x 1.6 x 1.4 = 3427 or 3430 kcal
