Integrity The chapter 3 of the book is all about integrity, what comes into your mind if you hear the word stated above? For me integrity is “I’m a man of my word”, which means I value all promises that I made in life that will make me truly a man. Being able to attain such flashy word must also be built with good values in life. We, as human beings, almost always trick the people around us with all the fruits of joy that they will attain if they follow that promising leader. The word integrity is also correlated with honesty, in order for us to be a good leader and followed by our followers, we should value the word trust within ourselves. Being a trustworthy person, you don’t go back to your words and that will make you truly a man. I have been watching this anime from my childhood years but sadly the story of the movie already ended in its best ways. The title of the movie is Naruto, almost all throughout the episode, I always heard his words of wisdom that “I never go back on my word…. That’s my way of the ninja!” such a powerful word that struck me deep inside. I ask myself what does it mean really? Then as time passed by in the series of episodes I have watched, I found out in the verge of losing in an enemy/ serious problem have occurred, he reminds himself with those meaningful words in order for him to motivate to reach his goals in life and be successful. Then, as the movie ends, he become what he really was, a HOKAGE (highest leader of the town Konoha). The people of Konoha followed him and aspires him as a great leader because he never goes back to his words of wisdom and he never puts the trust of citizen of Konoha down. The movie Naruto inculcated to me great word of wisdom that will always be an indelible mark as I strive in this wonderful journey of my life. So, as we go back to integrity, being true to your words all the time makes you authentic, and that’s where a leader is being followed by his/her followers. We must also remember that by building trust, we should be credible to our words and that is where we have high influence of value and a solid reputation that will be saved.
