Today me and my CT finalize all the things I need to prepare in my Grand demo. I’m really grateful that she helped me in my Lesson plan and also I asked help from other people. Grateful also because they helped me by giving  their ideas and suggestion. Also, I had class today! I want to rest my voice but I need to teach my students.

Day 2: Practice makes perfect March 5, 2019 Tuesday

Check papers today, and record it because grades are badly needed in advance. Kyla (St in Sta.Isabel) is absent today that’s why I need to teach all of the sections today. Ugh, tired! Finished my powerpoint and lesson plan today, Print there & Print anywhere. Hoping  for a good outcome!

Preparation and planning are a critical component of effective teaching. Lack thereof will lead to failure. If anything, every teacher should be over prepared. Good teachers are almost in a continuous state of preparation and planning. They are always thinking about the next lesson or what to do for tomorrow. Teaching is not something you can do effectively on the fly. It requires a healthy blend of content knowledge, instructional strategies, and classroom management tactics. Preparation and planning play a critical role in the development of these things. It also takes some experimentation and even a little luck. The bottom line is that preparation and planning do matter. It can never be viewed as a waste of time. Instead, it should be viewed as an investment. This is an investment that will pay off in the long run. One thing I learned today is Every idea does not have to be original. There is no need to reinvent the wheel. The Internet is the greatest teaching resource ever made. There are lots of excellent ideas from other teachers floating around that you can steal and utilize in your classroom. Plan days to weeks in advance if possible. Do not wait until the last minute to try to throw something together. Doing so limits your effectiveness.

Philippine Normal University National Center for Teacher Education INSTITUTE TEACHING AND LEARNING Manila Day 3: Ash Wednesday March 6, 2019 Wednesday

Had a mass early morning, because it’s Ash Wednesday. Also, This is the last day of preparing all of my materials. I have a checklist of what to bring. I also teach the abstraction part at my last section because Ma’am Gonzales asked me to teach it to Bondone. So, she could see the things I need to improve. 

Teaching is hard work and those of us who teach work very hard indeed. Sometimes the work is in the planning, sometimes in the instruction, sometimes in the guidance of students, and sometimes the work is in figuring out what works best for us as teachers working with our students in our classrooms. The beauty of this last type of work is that the answers are not universal, and what works for me may or may not work for you.

Checklists keep me on task. Rather than losing focus and forgetting where they left off or abandoning the task altogether, they always know where they are in a task or project. Day 4: Grand Demo, Pray for me! • Success is the result of perfection, hard work, March 7, 2019 Thursday learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence. Your positive action combined with positive OMG! This is it. Grand demo, I’m really thinking results in success. nervous but I gave my whole trust to myself and to my students. Philippine Normal University National Center for Teacher Education INSTITUTE TEACHING AND LEARNING Manila Day 5: Araullo done! March 8, 2019 Friday

I believe that school is supposed to be fun, in fact it's incredibly important. The impact of this work is so fulfilling and significant, and it all starts with the most important person in the classroom, the teacher. I am so thankful for my CT and the rest of the ESP teachers I currently work with and had growing up. The learning they plan, the environment they create, the friendships they help foster, it's all incredible. I wish the very best for my teachers all year, but this week is extra special for those at the heart of learning.

Thank you Lord for a wonderful yet tiring week. See you soon again, Araullo.

Finally, we are done! Congratulations team Araullo. I will pray that all of us should pass this and say Gra-graduate na din ako. I am overwhelmed with the farewell for me from my students. I will truly miss the room, my CT, my co-ST, ESP Department and those students of mine. It was nice meeting you all, 12 sections! Portfolio is waving at you! and CBAR 
