Nippon Oil Corp. (TYO:5001)

Beta: 1.18 Nippon Oil continued to fall on Tuesday, marking its 8 th consecutive lower high and its 5th consecutive lower low. The day’s low was at 370, already below the 76.4% retracement level at 381. This suggests more fall to be seen in the coming sessions, possibly to as low as 327, just above the key low at 308. Whether the stock will rebound first or not is remain to be seen, but the upside resistances are seen at 414, 441, 463 and 476/485. Shorting at the moment may be a risky trade because such consecutive lows pattern could turn around at any time soon after being overextended. Looking to move towards resistances at 414 towards 485 would be a better choice. Ultimately, stop should be above 485, with objective is set at 327 or even below the key low at 308. Scatter the entries at each of the retracement-based resistances mentioned earlier or if deciding to enter immediately may do so wih tight stop above 401.

China Merchants Holdings Co. Ltd. (HKG:0144)

Beta: 1.25 As it managed to hold above 24.40 key support, China Merchants clawed its way up to hit 25.30, the 23.6% retracement level. Assuming the downside is over for now, I expect it to push higher towards 25.68, 25.98 and later 26.28 before it faces the descending trendline at around 26.64. The pattern is clearly a triangle with flat bottom. Although it is a continuation pattern, it could be rallying just to touch the trendline resistance before it collapses again. At the moment, I prefer entering LONG with stop below 24.4 and the target is set at each retracement levels (25.68, 25.98, and 26.28 as well as 26.64. If however, the stock plunges below 24.40, subsequent targets will be 23.78 and 22.31.

Astra Agro Lestari, Tbk. (JSX:AALI)

Beta: 1.16 AALI rallied on Tuesday and reached the prior peak at 23,400 by the end of the day. It appears that the stock is poised for more gains in the coming sessions to around 23,750/23,850 before it retests the August top at 24,150. Ultimate target will be the 76.4% retracement level of the fall from 35,300 to 4,600 at 28,050. Supports are seen at 22,350, 21,600, 20,350 and 19,650. The bullish outlook favors the LONG side, with risk factor is set at 22,350. Below this the upward pressure will be somewhat muted as the stock returns to the neutral stance. Targets for LONG positions are scattered between 23,750-28,050, so multiple exits strategy will be the most suitable with this opportunity as well as employing trailing stop each time a resistance has been reached.

Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. (JSX:TLKM)

Beta: 0.73 TLKM had bumped into resistance at 9,100, the 76.4% retracement level of the fall from 9,450 to 7,850. Assuming that 9,100 is the near-term top, supports can be pinpointed at the retracement levels of the rise from 7,850 to 9,100 at 8,800, 8,600, 8,450, 8350, and 8,150. Swing low at 7,850 will remain the critical support. Conflicting signs from the rising daily MACD and the falling stochastics may suggest that staying away will be the best option at the moment. Still, adventurous traders may find SHORT position to be the one with best risk-to-reward ratio as the risk is limited to 9,450 while downside potential is seen down to 8,150.
