Kyocera Corp. (TYO:6971)

Beta: 1.00 Ever since its ascending trendline was broken early this month, Kyocera has been under pressure. Thursday saw another slide towards ¥7,060, erasing nearly 76.4% of its gains from ¥6,560. Using several zigzag projections from the ¥8,500 high, the fall had reached the first objective at ¥7,130, setting the next objective at ¥6,820/¥6,850 projection targets. The larger scale retracement of the rise since ¥4,330 points at ¥6,910, ¥6,420, ¥5,930, and ¥5,320 as the subsequent supports. At the moment, upside will be guarded by ¥7,380 and ¥7,620. As long as the latter holds, the bias is clearly down. Look to SHORT with stop set above ¥7,620 and aim at ¥7,020 first, then ¥6,910, and ¥6,420 later.

China Construction Bank Corp. (HKG:0939)

Beta: 1.22 CCB has been pushed back farther from the recent peak at 7.46. Reaching its 38.2% retracement at 7.11 on Thursday, the stock will face the next support at 7.00, near its rising trendline support. Below the line, it could be a quick retreat towards 6.55. There is no nearby resistance other than 7.46. Whether the current dip will accelerate downwards or not is remain to be seen, but for now it seems that CCB’s attempt to hit 7.66/7.68 double projection targets will have to wait. Look to enter short with stop set above 7.46. Aim at the Fibo supports pointed out at the chart, with a possibility of a retest of the longer-term ascending trendline support at 6.17.

Bank Negara Indonesia, Tbk. (JSX:BBNI)

Beta: 1.60 Here’s another banking stock: BBNI. Thursday saw another drop in BBNI. As it now reached the 38.2% retracement from the 1,760 low at 1,940, the outlook seems to be bearish. This suggests that a move lower towards 1,905, and to as low as 1,830 is to be expected in the coming sessions. The recent peak at 2,050 will be the key resistance capping the upside. Should this resistance is broken, the stock will return towards 2,150 before rallying higher. Under the current bearish outlook, look to short with tight stop above 2,050. It is likely that the upside is over at the moment and that the bearish pressure will push the stock lower in the nearterm. Use the retracement levels on the chart as the trade objectives, but caution should be exercised as the stock moves closer to 1,760.

Bakrieland Development, Tbk. (JSX:ELTY)

Beta: 2.18 Similarly, ELTY formed a bearish candle on Thursday despite it managed to penetrate 295 and reached 300. The current triangle pattern itself from 245 low indicates a bearish outlook. Look to short with stop set above 300 or ideally above 317 to give the stock some breathing space. Downside objectives are lining up from 261 to as low as 133 (please refer to the chart above).
