Back Ground Information We, four nuns from India belong to the Franciscan Clarist Congregation(F.C.C.) came to Ethiopia, on 16th March 2001 . Two ofus, Sr.Philsy and Sr. Cisilyare working in Kidane Mehiret School and Sr. Celine and Sr. Tessy are Nurses working in Ariajawi &Komto Clinics respectively. Our services are mainly in the fields of Education, Health, Pastoral and Women Promotion.
Kidane Mehiret School ( History) Nekemte Catholic Kidane Mehiret School was established in 1965 with two teachers and one foreign director at Kindergarten level. At that time the number of students were only thirty three. By expanding its services in 1973 the school was upgraded to grade 6 and the first time 55 students attended the National Examination . By the help of Nekemte Vicariate, the school was upgraded to grade 8 in 1983 and the first batch of 27 students attended National Examination. As the continuous requests of the parents and the interests of the community due to the good quality and discipline of the school, the Catholic Mission was forced to upgrade
Y
the existing school as the level of Secondary( grade9&10) in 2005-2006 academical year. In the year 2008 -2009 our ro11 strength is 1443 students , 30 teachers and 11 workers . The school has 16 c1ass rooms and two Offices, library ,laboratory ,staff room, pedagogie al center and toilets for boys and girls . Even though we established a high school, we are facing the problem of the shortage of c1ass rooms and other facilities .Our only means to run the school is the school fees of 35Birr per month for 10 months .That money is used for the payment of salary of the Staff. Two months there is no school fee but we have to pay the vacation salary too ..
more c1assrooms .Our school land is not very vast and wide . OUf plan is to do a construction with deep excavation for a two-Storied Building for Preparatory(Senior Secondary In this present condition we are in need of
School) if we get Donors like you .I want to remind you that this is one of the best schools in this town. If we open Preparatory our students can study until University. Nekemte town, with 135,000inhabitants and annual increasing of 17%is an example for the fast expanded towns in the African Continent .
Every day material cost is becorning very high . Therefore without the support and kindness from Donors we cannot do any development in Ethiopia. We kindly request your support for the construction of a building . Please find the attached Project
Proposal. We do assure our prayers and good wishes for your wonderful services you are doing for the humanity. We prornise you that we would make use of your money in the best way for the welfare of the society and send you the accurate report too. This proposal we didn 't send to any body except you the concemed donor. If you need more information we can send you via e-mail.
