And this summer was no exception. In July, I went to Chontales with some Spanish friends. I stayed at my friend’s house in the center, and had a great time. For me, the most exciting part was that my friend’s mother made montañés, one of my favorite foods. We also did some nice walks in the towns around Chontales. I got a bit sunburned at the beach, but otherwise enjoyed the cool weather, the food and the beautiful landscapes. After a week in Chontales, it was back to Masaya, and back to school!
