The Honorable Daniel Marcus General Counsel National Commission on Terrorism Attacks 301 7th Street SW, Room 5125 Washington, DC 20407 Dear Mr. Marcus: In response to your letter, dated July 9, 2003, Arlington County Fire Department will make every effort to comply with the Commission's request to provide the department's documentation relating to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. There is one issue. We are not able to meet the deadline stated in the request. Many of the people who would be involved in providing or retrieving the information is or will be taking vacation or fulfilling prior commitments thus I am requesting an extension of time to collect the data. We respectfully request an extension to August 22, 2003.
