Use the tail thread to repeat Step 3 on the other end of the tube. Weave in thread end, tying half-hitch knots between several beads to secure, and trim.

Tassels: To form the tassel that hangs from Rows 29–34 of the tube, string 13D. Wrap the D around the tube and pass through all of the D again to form a ring around the tube. Tie a surgeon’s knot. String 1D, 1 glass rondelle, 1 glass disc, 1 glass square, 1 glass disc, 1 glass rondelle, 1D, 1 flying bird, 1D, and 16B. Skip 3B (to form a picot) and pass back through all of the beads in this step. String 14D and wrap the beads around the tube on the right side of the ring formed in Step 6. Pass through all of the beads in the tassel from the first D to the last D. String 16A. Skip 3A and pass back through all of the beads.

Repeat Step 8, wrapping the 14D on the other side of the ring formed in Step 6 and using C beads for the picot fringe.

Pass through the 13 beads in the ring formed in Step 6 and all of the beads in the tassel. String 16B. Skip 3B and pass back through all beads to the tail thread. Use the working and tail threads to tie a surgeon’s knot. Use a thread burner to trim threads.

Use 3" (8cm) of wire to form a wrapped loop that attaches to 1 ear wire. String one 4mm gold round, 1 lampworked glass bead, and one 4mm gold round. Form a wrapped loop.

Use 1 jump ring to string 4 size 8° seed beads, the wrapped loop formed in Step 4, 4 size 8° seed beads, and the wrapped loop formed in Step 5. Repeat Steps 1–6 to form a second earring.
