Cataract

CATARACT There are many types of diseases that can be found in our eyes. Some of them are Conjunctivitis, Metropia, Hypermetropia, etc. Cataract is also one of them. This disease is a major cause of blindness in the people of India. The condition is caused mainly due to ageing. The cataract is the capacity of the transparent lens of the eye. If clouded, it prevents the light to pass through the lens and this retina for image formation. The factors responsible for cataract are old age and injury to the eye. Inflammation and prolonged use of steroids cause cataract in children since their birth due to the infection part on them by their mother during pregnancy. Its main symptoms are gradual loss of vision, grayish lens of the eye, lazy or double-multiple vision. To prevent cataract, the patient has to change his spectacles from time to time.
