Hello Everyone, We're coming up on the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark: Come show the world & our leaders WE CARE. Come be part of a weekend-long (Dec.11-13) global mobilization midway through the conference, in addition to the many activities planned during the conference, designed to make sure that our world leaders hear from the thousands of concerned citizens who are descending on city of Copenhagen from all over the world. 1. Candlelight vigils are being planned around the world, coordinated by 350.org (which brought us October 24 International Day of Climate Action.) In Buffalo, the WNY Climate Action Coalition, together with a growing list of co-sponsors (Sierra Club, League of Women Voters- Buffalo/Niagara, Catholic Charities, Catholic Care for Creation Committee, WNY Sustainable Energy Association - list still in formation) is convening the candlelight vigil. At these vigils in Buffalo and around the world we shall be lighting candles of hope in solidarity with the low-lying nations whose very survival is threatened by the climate crisis. The Message: The World Wants a Real Deal. For information and updates about the Buffalo vigil (and to RSVP) please visit www.350.org/vigil. . . and type in "Buffalo." or email [email protected]
