PUBLIC HEARING The Protection of Wetlands This hearing will examine different issue areas that are of concern to the citizens of this State. They include Flood and Stormwater Control, Surface and Groundwater Protection, Erosion Control, Pollution Treatment and Nutrient Cycling, Fish and Wildlife Habitat, Public Enjoyment, and Wetlands Mapping and Classification. In addition we are encouraging all citizens, environmental organizations, sporting and conservation organizations, developers, , and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and the Environmental Protection Agency to testify about concerns and solutions related to wetland protection. The New York State Senate Standing Committee on Environmental Conservation seeks oral and written testimony regarding proposals to improve wetland protection throughout New York State.
