The offering last week was $3,093.00. Attendance last week was 114. Jan. 11, Sun.-The Secret Sister Tea at 4:00 P.M. in the church fellowship hall. Contact Cindy Horning about signing up to bring food. Jan. 13, Tues.- Watoto Children’s Choir from Uganda(East Africa) will give a concert at 7:00 P.M., following a meal that we will provide. A love offering will be received and go toward the general fund of the Watoto ministry. All are welcome! There is a sign up sheet in the narthex. Host homes will be needed for Tues. night. For more information contact Cindy Horning at 445-9769.-There are still some food items needed for Tuesday's meal for the Watoto Children's Choir. Please have all food items here at church by 4:00 Tuesday, Jan. 13. Jan. 14, Wed.-Prayer Meeting at Gehman Mennonite Church, 7 P.M. Jan. 14, Wed.- JBA, JGA, and Junior Youth will meet at Bowmansville at 7 P.M. Jan. 27,Tues.- Bowmansville District Sewing Circle will be working at Mennonite Central Committee's Material Resource Center, Trout Run Road, Ephrata. There will be a variety of work for men and women of all ages. We will be working

from 9 AM to 3 PM. You are welcome to come for the entire day, or just in the morning or afternoon. If you are able to stay the entire day, please bring your lunch. Drink is provided. The needs around the world are great. Mark your calendar now and plan to take this day to help with the work of MCC. Jan. 31, Sat.- You are invited to a Dinner Meeting by the Sunday School Meditations Association. More information on the bulletin board. Feb. 7, Sat.-A Sweetheart Banquet will be held at Woodcrest Retreat at 6:00 P.M. Pastor Jack Scandrett from Ephrata Mennonite Church will be speaking on “Keeping Your Marriage Vibrant”. Come enjoy delicious food and special music by Nancy Fisher. Cost- $30 per couple. Call 738-2233 for reservations by Jan. 19, 2009. There is a flyer on the bulletin board. Feb. 7,Sat.-Marriage Encounter’s Romantic Night Out Banquet presents FIREPROOF: Never Leave Your Partner Behind on @ Yoder’s Banquet Facility, New Holland. Come see this gripping story which mirrors the problems of many marriages, in this case through Fire Chief, Capt. Caleb Holt whose high-stress job spills into his home life. The event is open to married and engaged couples. June 30 to July 5-Mennonite Church USA is hosting its next biennial convention this summer in Columbus, OH. The theme, “Breathe and be filled,” is based on John 20:21-22. July 14-19-Mennonite World Conference (MWC) and the Mennonite and Brethren in Christ churches in Central/South America and the Caribbean invite you to participate in Paraguay 2009 – MWC’s fifteenth world assembly. Please contact Mel Thomas for more information and registration forms for both events. -A very special thanks to all persons who contributed to our worship during the Season of Advent and Christmas: worship leaders, song leaders, bell choir, special music, readers, and those responsible for arranging the creative and appropriate decorations. Please complete the slip of paper in your box of envelopes and place it in the designated box. Reminder: Please use your new offering envelopes for 2009.
