The original facility of 23,689 s.f. was constructed in 1964. The media center addition totaling 4,823 s.f. was constructed in 1993. The facility contains one (1) gymnasium of 3,104 s.f. which also serves as student dining, one (1) kitchen of 657 s.f. and one (1) media center of 1,259 s.f. Buckeye Elementary currently provides space for grades K-5. The complex provides partial accessibility but does not fully conform to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act Guidelines. Typical classrooms throughout the complex are undersized but are within 10% of the current standards established by the State of Oho. The School facility is located on an 8.3 acre site in a residential area. School buses load/unload along the main entry drive which shares access with vehicular traffic. The existing structure is outfitted with a motion sensor and camera security system and a fire alarm system with manual pull stations. The complex does not contain a suppression system. A portion of the 1993 addition is equipped with an air conditioning system.
