PRE-PRIMARY FUN DAY
Thanks to all our Primary school children and parents who supported the Pre-Primary fun day. All had a great time and the day was a HUGE success.
GOVERNING BODY ELECTIONS
Thank you to Andrew Holliday and his Electoral Team who presided at our Governing Body Elections and to all those who promised and came and to those who were called to come. We were delighted that our efforts were fruitful. Our thanks to our nominated and elected members.

FROM THE SPORTS DESK
Please be sure to let us know, as early as possible, if your child is ill and unable to play in a match. This will ensure that we are able to find a replacement. The C and D team attendance has been very erratic and we are considering scrapping these teams if children do not treat the games and matches as seriously as the A and B teams. We need the commitment from the children to make the arrangements viable. Please make sure that your children are correctly dressed for their extra murals. The Bryandale General Sports Kit with ankle fold down white socks, and predominantly white takkies is the standard dress. The Soccer teams wear the Soccer Socks and boots or takkies. Please help us to keep our children neat and smart...
STAFF
Farewell to Mrs. Hilton and Mrs. More – we thank them for their commitment to Bryandale and wish them well in their future ventures. We welcome Mrs. A Coney who is our replacement teacher in Grade 2.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS TERM 2
Friday 16 June Youth Day (30th anniversary).
GRADE 6 TOUR
Thank you to Messers Naik, Jacobs, Rodda and Mrs. Dlamlenzi for standing. We look forward to a very fruitful 3-year stint. The lovely vibe at the meeting re-enforced my joy and happiness in serving this community. The BPA were, of course, the stars with their hot tea and coffee and loads of eats provided by Grade 2 parents. The AGM was well attended and the many good suggestions will be considered and concerns addressed. Thank you!
The Grade 6 learners will be going on tour to Ilkley Game Ranch in Mpumalanga 21 – 25 August. A securing deposit of R320 is due now. The balance of R500 is due by 31 July 2006 either 1 or 2 post-dated cheques to accompany deposit.
PARENTS IN PRAYER
The new time is 08h00 – 09h00 in Room 3.

CLOTHES APPEAL
While stocks at the Bryandale Primary School thrift shop run low, prices of the new garments appear to be on the increase. So, Bryandale is calling on all past pupils to assist in a drive to stock up the thrift shop. “We are asking all past pupils to rummage in their cupboards and to please drop off their old, but wearable school clothes,” said Pam Rodgers who heads up the thrift shop. “Not only will this help us stock up but it will also put a few pennies in the pockets of those parents or pupils that bring in their old school clothes,” she added. Pam Rodgers (082) 555 9454
SUGGESTION FROM A PARENT
It has come to our attention that there are in excess of 70 unclaimed jerseys in lost property. There are now many reported cases of children not being able to locate their jerseys amongst these unclaimed jerseys. It would appear that some children have “claimed” their jersey, not realising it is not their own, whilst their own is sitting unclaimed in the lost property coffers! We make the appeal to parents to check their children’s school clothing, to ensure it is labelled with their own child’s name, and that they are not accidentally wearing someone else’s, whilst leaving their own unclaimed at lost property. We have honest parents out there who will not take one of the 70 unclaimed jerseys as they hope to have their own returned. Please will you assist with their endeavours, and keep this honesty alive!!
