Dear Friend, Have you ever owned a kaleidoscope? As a child I was once fortunate enough to have one and it gave me many happy hours of entertainment. How ever hard you shook the contents of the outer case they always settled down and formed a pretty pattern. The patterns were never exactly the same; it all depended on where the fragments lay. Life is rather like a kaleidoscope, it is made up of many parts, differing from person to person, but in every case they form a pattern. Sometimes the pieces are rather drab, at other times colourful, but the components, or experiences, all make a divinely planned pattern.
I will praise Thee: For I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvellous are Thy works, and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalm 139:14

So far this summer the weather has been quite varied but what would we do without our climate? Even with a complete stranger we can immediately start a conversation by talking about the weather. It is a subject guaranteed to break down all barriers yet, in a different sense, climate can also be a barrier, for so much depends on the individual. Take the person who is chilly to everyone they meet – they pass that chilliness on. Then there’s the person who’s cloudy, full of gloom, leaving you feeling miserable and what about the person who knows how to put the whole world to right, thundering on about everyone, and everything? Well at least that climate is invigorating, if somewhat exhausting! Then there’s the person with a sunny climate, beaming at you in greeting, creating an immediate warm feeling. It makes you feel that even if the sun isn't actually shining, it will be very soon. 2

'Hand of God' This beautiful image of a "cosmic hand" reaching for the stars has been captured by a Nasa observatory. What appears, with a little imagination, to be the outstretched fingers were created by a spinning neutron star known as a pulsar buried deep inside the fist, which releases energy as it rotates. Although the pulsar itself is only 12 miles in diameter, the cloud or nebula that it produces stretches across 150 light years of space. The X‐ray image was recorded by Nasa's Chandra observatory which is circling 360 miles above Earth taking images of high‐energy locations across the universe, such as the remnants of exploded stars. Dubbed the Hand of God, following on from an 'Eye of God' image released by European astronomers in February, the nebula pictured in the new X‐ray was produced by the pulsar B1509, which is about 17,000 light years away. 5
THE BLESSED DIVINE HEALING CARD In the Divine Healing Service on Tuesday afternoons and every morning at the Altar in the Sanctuary, the little card shown with this Sanctuary Messenger is held for Jesus to bless those, who hold it in prayer.
In no time at all I have experienced in our togetherness with all our prayer friends in my midst and wherever they are, that the Lord takes our hearts and hands in His Own and blesses our loved ones with this sacred card. Thank you for holding it for the Lord to Bless. It is the Lord who unites us in prayer and who takes us into the universal perfection of His love and body for us to share. So we give ourselves to Him in all His wisdom to be channels of His care. How wonderful to be so divinely needed, and so absolutely necessary for the spiritual wellbeing, health and happiness of one another. If you would like a prayer card, please write to us here at the Sanctuary and we will be only too pleased to send you one. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart. Proverbs 3:5 6
YOUR DAY WITH THE FATHER
MONDAY Take everything that happens as coming from the hands of God, who loves you; in this way every trial will become a source of peace and joy since God is not a burden, but rather comfort, joy and cheerfulness.
TUESDAY Love can take many hearts and make them one, uniting them in the love of God: it makes them open, friendly, peaceful, one in mind and heart; it makes them capable of learning the will of God.
WEDNESDAY The troubles we have in life, if we see them as part of God's loving plan and accept them as being what he wants for us will actually help us to grow in knowledge and love of him. Even when things are at their worst, keep your peace of heart and accept whatever God sends you as being for your good.

THURSDAY Be as simple as a child: always see the best in everyone and with good intention, excuse the one who hurts you, seeing whatever harm he does as the result of some temptation. What destroys community is judging other people's actions while losing sight of one's own.
FRIDAY May my horizon this day, Lord, not be so foreshortened that I notice little. Instead, open my eyes that I may see afar and above as well as in front and beneath me. Lead me to keep my life in perspective and balance and discover that the thread of your presence is interwoven through the events and people of this day
SATURDAY Lord, I thank you for those who try to make others well and care for those in suffering and pain. Give them wisdom in curing and gentle patience in caring. For all they have done,
SUNDAY Not only did people come to Jesus to be healed, but Jesus went to them. "I will come and cure him," Jesus tells the Roman centurion who asks help for his servant. (Mt 8, 7) He even cured people who didn't know who he was. (Jn 5.1‐18) 8
