R/R Adapter

Draft Hood Adapter

• R/R (Rheem/Ruud) adapters are made for gas fired furnaces that do not allow the use of screws for the connection at the appliance • Single wall pipe is attach to B Vent with screws – outlined in the mechanical code. The Draft Hood Adapter can be used to make the connection easier but is not required • the B Vent system must be adequately supported and wall straps are recommended every 4’ • The pipe collar can be used as a trim piece around B Vent

• B Vent cannot horizontally terminate unless specified by the appliance manufacture – Follow appliance installation instructions • The High wind cap is based on a Breidert style cap • All B Vent caps are listed as high wind caps. The test for being listed as a wind cap uses 40 mph wind • We make a combo cap that is flashing, storm collar, and cap all together • The National Code does not allow any unlisted decorative shroud over caps
