[email protected] / 651.890.7732 December 3, 2009 The Honorable Debra Freeman Daniel Patrick Moynihan United States Courthouse 500 Pearl Street, Room 525 New York, NY 10007-1312 Dear Magistrate Judge Freeman: I am a third-year student in the top twenty percent of my class at the University of Minnesota Law School, a top twenty school. I am writing to respectfully request your consideration for a judicial clerkship commencing in March or September of 2011. I would be grateful for the opportunity to interview with your chambers. I love language and precision, and my experience is suited to the duties of a clerk. I serve as a research assistant to Associate Dean Joan Howland and as a Managing Editor for the ABA Journal of Labor and Employment Law. The Minnesota Journal of International Law is publishing an article I authored on the Stop Tax Haven Abuse Act. I have completed a Master’s in communication studies, focusing on rhetoric and the art of persuasion. My experience has honed my writing skills, and as your clerk, I will strive to make my research thorough and my written product clear, accurate, and concise. In addition to enjoying research and writing, I am an enthusiastic highland drummer. In 2007, I had the honor of competing with the City of Chicago Pipe Band at the North American Championships. As a solo player, I finished second in the 2006 North American Amateur Drumming Championships. I would appreciate the opportunity to interview with your chambers, and I would be happy to arrange to do so. If you have any questions, please contact me at 651-890-7732 or
[email protected]. Thank you, in advance, for your consideration. Respectfully,
Anthony D. Todero
