Excerpt from POET IN EXILE
Ashes Of An Unquenchable Love Ricardo Saul LaRosa
Not a deficiency of love that caused your departure, Our love was stronger than a thousand stars, Ours was mystical, sacred, an endless rapture, Though I am now alone, wishing, hurting by love’s scars, I have no regrets my wonderful illusion, As my heart rips apart lost with no conclusion, No I am not crying, My only true reason for living, I am not dying, For your love that is still giving, Making me weak and strong, Up is down and right is wrong, Life sometimes throws a wild card, Beyond our control, Only sweet sad poems from this bard, For you whom has made me whole, Love, love, you have given me this love, Which I hold jealously in my heart, For you a thousand poems is my art, You were the love that invaded my world, When I was lost and all alone, Crying myself asleep curled, Made me a king upon your throne, My life was made complete, By your kisses coy and sweet,
