Management Committee Minutes April 9th, 2008 Attendees: Rob Wallingford Kelly Youngdale Rick Piironen Lloyd Mackey

1. Administrative Procedures The minutes of the meeting of March 19th were discussed and accepted. 2. Finance Committee Report The reminder letters for SVOA late dues were sent out on the week of April 9th. The results of this reminder will be reviewed at the next management meeting, at which time further action will be determined. 3. Communication/Residents Directory/Welcoming Committee Report The welcoming committee has visited a couple of new residents, providing them a welcome package. There has been limited other action, the residents list has been updated to reflect recent changes. 4. Recreation/Social Committee Report A spring clean event has been organized for the May 3rd and residents are encouraged to participate. 5. Community Beautification Committee Report Three volunteers have joined this committee, it was suggested that a short meeting be organized to select a committee leader. 6. Physical Plan/Pool Committee Report An email was sent to all SVOA residents, soliciting interest for the pool maintenance contract. To date, we have received one applicant. Additional caution signs will be posted in and around the pool area. The committee will be working with Dan Andersen and Benson pools to have the pool heater moved. 7. Entrance Sign Committee The committee met recently to finalize the draft designs, once the final adjustments have been made to the 3 design concepts, they will be sent along with the associated cost estimates, to D. Andersen for review and then sent to the SVOA residents to select the

final design. The signs are to installed on both sides of Lake Forest Walk, just off of Old Prescott. 8. Design Review Committee The committee has not received any proposed designs for review. Residents are reminded that any projects such as decks, gazeboes etc. must be sent to the design review committee for review before construction begins. 9. Government Relations/Legal Committee Report No actives to be reported at this time. 10. New Business A subject was raised regarding dogs in the neighbourhood and it was suggested that this be addressed in the next SVOA newsletter. Residents are asked to follow all municipal by-laws with respect to their pets, such as Dogs are to be kept on leash at all times, and owners are reminded to poop and scoop.
