LEARNING OBJECTIVES Discuss the duties and responsibilities of a FACSFAC Sector Controller. Discuss the procedures and terms found in FAAO 7110.65 Chapter 2 General Control. Discuss the procedures in FAAO 7110.65 Chapter 2, Section 2 Flight plans and Control Information. Discuss the procedures for Altimeter Settings as prescribed in FAAO 7110.65 Chapter 2, Section 7.
Discuss the check-in/out procedures for advisory control. Discuss the separation procedures for both radar and Non-radar targets. Discuss the alert and advisories to be given in W-291 as prescribed in FAAO 7110.65 and FACSFACINST 3120.1. ALLOTTED TEACHING TIME 8.0 hour TRAINEE PREPARATION
Discuss the importance of accuracy checks on radar equipment as well as other uses as prescribed in FAAO 7110.65 Chapter 5: Radar, Section 1: General. Discuss the importance of Beacon Systems as prescribed in FAAO 7110.65 Chapter 5: Radar, Section 2: Beacon Systems. Discuss the methods and procedure for Radar Identification as prescribed in FAAO 7110.65 Chapter 5: Radar, Section 3: Radar Identification.

A. Refer the trainee to the NAVAIR 00-80T-114 for detailed duties and responsibilities. B. Instruct the trainee to turn pages 2-1-1 thru 2-1-3 of the 7110.65. Have the trainee explain some of the other ATC services that are provided in W291. 5. Instruct the trainee to turn to (FAAO 7110.65) paragraph. 2-1-5. Give the trainee examples of when to use immediately and expedite.
6. Instruct the trainee to turn to page 2-1-4 in the FAAO 7110.65 and read 2-1-7 note. Give trainee an example from your personal experience of a inflight equipment malfunction.
