Durch die Kraft des Wassers The power of water KNEIPPEN. In einem gesunden Körper wohnt bekanntlich ein gesunder Geist. Zum Wohlbefinden beider kann einiges getan werden, indem man ihnen Gutes tut. Körperliches Wohlbefinden kann einfach durch eine Kneipp-Therapie erreicht werden. Doch wann findet man schon Zeit sich um sein Wohlbefinden zu kümmern? Am einfachsten dann, wenn man sich bewusst Zeit zum Ausspannen und Erholen nimmt. Also gleich das Angenehme mit dem nützliche verbinden! Als erstes KneippErlebnisdorf Österreichs bietet Scheffau speziell für Familien ein abgestimmtes Programm für Groß und Klein an. Das Wechselbad in kaltem und warmem Wasser ist der zentrale Mittelpunkt von fünf therapeutischen Maßnahmen, welche die seelisch körperliche Balance erhalten. Die dosierte Be- und Entlasten des Organismus fördert dessen Fähigkeiten zur Selbstordnung und Heilung. Ergänzt durch heilende Kräuter, ausreichend Bewegung, richtige Ernährung und der Ausgewogenheit des Tuns werden in kurzer Zeit deutliche Erfolge zu verspüren sein. KNEIPPEN. In a healthy body lives a healthy mind. There are things you can do for the wellbeing of both to make you feel good. Physical wellbeing can be achieved simply through a Kneipp therapy. But when do you have time to worry about your health? The best thing to do is combine the pleasant with the practical when you purposely take time out to relax and unwind - kill two birds with one stone! As Austria’s first “Kneipp experience village“, Scheffau offers a programme for big and small tailored especially to the needs of families. Bathing alternately in cold and warm water is the central key behind five therapeutic measures that keep body and soul in balance. Exposing the organism to strain and relief in the right doses improves its ability to self-regulate and heal. Add to that, medicinal herbs, sufficient exercise, a good diet and equilibrium in all you do and the results soon become apparent. Two health professionals, trained at the Sebastian Kneipp Academy, are on hand to make sure the treatment is carried out correctly and have plenty of tips and advice to offer. You won’t find a more effective experience. Do something good for your body, so that your soul wants to live in it!

NATUR PUR Nature pure and simple MOOR AND MORE. Reich an mystischen Sagen und anmutigen Naturschätzen ist die Gegend um den Wilden Kaiser immer schon gewesen. Und seit kurzem um ein weiteres Glanzstück reicher. Im Gebiet zwischen Going und St. Johann wurde eine fast vergessene Naturoase aus seinem Dornröschenschlaf erweckt. Verschieden große Moorgebiete mit einer einzigartigen Fauna und Flora wurden renaturiert, durch ein breites Wegenetz zugänglich gemacht und miteinander verbunden. Damit wurde ein Bereich geschaffen, der zum Verweilen und Genießen einlädt, zum Erforschen und Staunen, zum Lernen und Begreifen. Auf Thementafeln erhalten die Besucher wertvolle Hinweise zu den Schönheiten des Gebietes und sie erklären ihnen detailliert den Artenreichtum der Pflanzenwelt. Die herrliche Landschaft überschaut man weitläufig auch auf Aussichtsplattformen die an speziellen Stellen aufgebaut sind. Und damit auch der Spaß nicht zu kurz kommt ist am Walderlebnis-Spielplatz und im Freiluftklassenzimmer Platz um sich auszutoben oder Wissenswertes aufzunehmen. Moor & more ist für jeden ein Erlebnis! Ellmauer Steinkreis. Ein energetisches und in sich geschlossenes Natur-Kraftfeld in Form eines riesigen Mandalas bildet der Ellmauer Steinkreis. Feinfülige Menschen finden meist intuitiv „Ihren“ passenden Stein und lassen sich darauf nieder. Aber auch weniger versierten Menschen spüren die Kraft der Steine und nehmen deren Energie in sich auf. Den Alltag hinter sich lassen, meditieren und Kraft tanken.

MOOR AND MORE. The area around the Wilder Kaiser has always been richly endowed with mystical legends and charming natural treasures. And recently another sparkling feature has made it that bit more precious. In the area between Going and St. Johann an almost forgotten natural oasis has been awakened from its slumber. Moorland areas of varying sizes with a unique flora and fauna have been regenerated and made accessible by a large network of footpaths linking them up. This has created a place that invites you to relax and enjoy, explore and marvel, learn and understand. Information boards tell visitors about the beauties of the area and discuss in depth the rich variety of plant life. Platforms have been built at special spots overlooking the wonderful landscape to provide you with some stunning views. And there’s heaps of fun to be had too with the forest adventure playground and open-air classroom ensuring plenty of space for letting off steam or fact finding. Moor & more is an experience for all! Ellmauer Steinkreis. The Ellmau Stone Circle is a special place of energy and a natural force field taking the form of a giant Mandala. Receptive people will often find “their” stone intuitively and come to rest by it. But even those “less spiritual” will feel the power of the stones and assimilate their energy. Leave the everyday behind; meditate and recharge.

KNEIPPIADE IN SCHEFFAU Kneipp Olympics in Scheffau It’s nearly time: the Austrian premiere of the sixth Kneipp Olympics takes place from 11th until 14th June 2009 in Scheffau – Austria’s first “Kneipp experience village” – under the slogan „the power of nature“. The main objective of the Kneipp Olympics, or KNEIPPIADE as it is also known, is to show visitors in an exciting way what they can do to lead a healthy life. A wellbeing exhibition with a Duftgarten (fragrant garden), information corners on the topic of health, a play area with petting zoo especially geared towards children, a Kneipp circuit with many stations, Lake Hinterstein, known as the most beautiful wellness facility in Europe, and the exciting theme parks (KaiserWelt, Ellmi´s Zauberwelt – magical world, Hexenwasser etc.) in the mountains round the programme off. Daily talks and workshops give you the chance to find out all about the latest areas of preventive health as well. An opening gala evening with firework display to music as well as a festive concert are the social highlights at the KNEIPPIADE 2009.

Schon bald ist es soweit: die Österreichpremiere der sechsten Kneipp-Olympiade findet vom 11.- 14. Juni 2009 in Scheffau - Österreichs erstem Kneipp-Erlebnisdorf - unter dem Motto „Die Kraft der Natur“ statt. Hauptziel der KNEIPPIADE ist es, den Besuchern auf erlebbare Art und Weise näher zu bringen, was für eine gesunde Lebensführung getan werden kann. Eine Wohlfühlausstellung mit Duftgarten, Info-Ecken zum Thema Gesundheit, eine speziell auf Kinder ausgerichteter Spaßbereich mit Streichelzoo, ein Kneipp- Rundweg mit vielen Stationen, der Hintersteinersee als schönste Wellnessanlage Europas und die Erlebniswelten (KaiserWelt, Ellmi´s Zauberwelt, Hexenwasser, etc.) auf den Bergen runden das Programm ab. Tägliche Vorträge und Workshops bieten darüber hinaus die Möglichkeit sich über die aktuellen Themen der Prävention zu informieren. Ein Eröffnungsgalaabend mit Klangfeuerwerk sowie ein Festkonzert sind die gesellschaftlichen Höhepunkte der KNEIPPIADE 2009.
