Advice from the Chief Health Officer on Pickles Auction House If you visited Pickles Auction House during the period 5–9 October 2009 (inclusive), you may have been exposed to asbestos. Given the relatively short duration of your possible exposure to loose asbestos fibres at Pickles, the probability of your contracting an asbestos-related disease is low. An isolated exposure to asbestos fibres is unlikely to result in the development of an asbestos-related disease. However, if you have any health concerns, please seek medical advice from your General Practitioner. Alternatively, anyone with concerns may contact the Asbestos Health Information line on 6205 4411. Please also provide this advice to any person who accompanied you on any visit to Pickles during the period above. Dr Charles Guest Chief Health Officer
