TYPES OF CLOSED QUESTIONS RANKING & RATING QUESTIONS Rank these in order of importance to you: Portability Price Durability Compatibility with other products Size

MULTIPLE CHOICE (NUMERICAL/CATEGORICAL) Age: 8-15 16-24 25-35 36-50 51+

YOUR QUESTIONNAIRE MUST: • Be between 15 and 21 questions • Be on Survey Monkey • Include open and closed questions where appropriate • Have a number of respondents outside of this class • Focus on your target audience • Have a clear sense of explanation in questions – your audience know nothing about your idea!

SECTION 1: YOUR AUDIENCE • Be between 5 and 7 questions • Questions on audience categories e.g. age, gender, spending power etc.

SECTION 2: STYLE • Be between 5 and 7 questions • Questions on audience’s taste in documentaries e.g: - current consumption of documentaries - use of VT package conventions - other types of media text which could influence your work USE YOUR TEXTUAL ANALYSIS TO HELP YOU DESIGN THESE QUESTIONS

SECTION 3: CONTENT • Be between 5 and 7 questions • Questions on audience’s opinions on your documentary proposal e.g: - appeal of your topic - appeal of your angle USE YOUR TEXTUAL ANALYSIS & FACTS AND FIGURES TO HELP YOU DESIGN THESE QUESTIONS
