Shingo Fujii Young Doctors Summit 2019 Travel Grant Application The Shingo Fujii Young Doctors Summit Grant Recipients and all meeting attendees have the choice to attend one of two sessions listed below. A special reception for young doctors will be held that evening to allow early career professionals an opportunity to network and socialize. Learning from the Experts: IGCS 2019 Surgical Course Clinical Application of Molecular Genetics to the Classification and Staging of Endometrial Cancer: A Multidisciplinary and Interactive Course Both sessions will be held in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Eligibility Requirements 1. English Language Proficiency a. Awardees will have sufficient command of the English language to benefit from attendance at a major international scientific meeting. 2. Membership & Need b. Awardee must be a current IGCS Member. Applicants may apply for membership at the time of submission, but dues must be paid prior to award deadline. c. Only individuals residing in low and lower-middle-income economies are eligible (in accordance with World Bank country classifications). d. Previous YDS Awardees are not eligible to apply. 3. Experience e. Awardees will be multidisciplinary early career professionals who are either; i. Currently in training in surgical oncology, radiation oncology and/or medical oncology OR ii. Five (5) years from fellowship or apprenticeship OR iii. Five (5) years from residency OR iv. Up to Ten (10) years from graduation 4. Funding a. $1,500 USD b. Funds may be used to supplement travel and lodging expenses to attend the Annual Global Meeting. c. Awardees will receive complimentary registration to the Annual Global Meeting. 5. Post-Report & Complimentary Membership a. Completion of a post-meeting evaluation and a 300-word report is required after the award is completed for a one-year complimentary membership following the Meeting. IGCS may post some of the information from the report in its publications.

Selection and Award Details Completed applications will be reviewed by the IGCS Council. Awardees will be notified in mid-April. The awardee is responsible for booking accommodations, travel and making Visa arrangements. Awards (funding) will be presented at the Meeting.
