WILCOX HIGH SCHOOL INTERACT OFFICER DESCRIPTIONS All positions include the responsibilities of attending weekly lunchtime officer meetings, attending all biweekly general meetings, setting an example for Interact Members by living up to Interact’s motto “Service Above Self” and Rotary International’s 4-Way Test, help create supplies needed for events (including posters), posses positive attitude to create optimal working conditions, promote events and membership amongst their friends, and help other officers complete their jobs. Inability to fulfill responsibilities will result in being replaced.

Secretary- The duties of a WHS Interact Secretary include, but are not limited to: taking minutes at officer meetings in order to keep officers unable to attend the meeting informed, keep a running list of all the year’s community service hours for each individual member, get members their community service signed off when requested, and send email and Facebook Group Message reminders about upcoming events and meetings. Treasurer- The duties of a WHS Interact Treasurer include, but are not limited to: supervising the handling of money at necessary events, keeping a running list of paid members, and making deposits and payment requests with the school bookkeeper. Activities Coordinator- The duties of a WHS Interact Activities Coordinator include, but are not limited to: looking for local community service events for the school to participate in, assign officers to be in charge of our many events, and make the planning of future events is continually progressing. Media Coordinator- The duties of a WHS Interact Media Coordinator include, but are not limited to: create Facebook events and digital flyers to promote upcoming events, serve as the club historian (making sure that photos are taken at each event and create online photo albums), and serve as the club webmaster (updating all online pages including the club website, Facebook Group, Scrbd, and Twitter). Publicity Coordinator- The duties of a WHS Interact Publicity Coordinator include, but are not limited to: creating flyers and leading the creation of posters to hang around school to promote club events and recruitment. YouthAct Coordinator- The duties of a WHS Interact YouthAct Coordinator include, but are not limited to: start YouthAct Clubs (Interact’s Middle School counterpart) at Peterson and Cabrillo Middle School, serve as liason between the YouthActs and our Interact, give guidance and help YouthAct with any of their need, and encourage YouthAct Members to join Interact when they join high school. Board Member (not open to the Class of 2010 or returning members)- The duties of a WHS Interact Board Member include, but are not limited to: fill in for positions whom are

unable to fulfill their duties due to other conflicts, recruit potential members with enthusiasm about the clubs, and get a feel for what it is to an Interact Officer does so that they can become more active in future years.

*positions maybe added or removed at the discretion of the current Interact Presidents
