Do writing and body movement activity. Magic box. Form 2 groups. Teacher gets an object or picture from the box. Children name/identify the object. If the object/ picture starts with Ll, a player runs to the board and writes Ll. Group with highest point wins. Prepare a drawing of orange, octopus, and okra. Cut out to make a puzzle. Form 3 groups. Each group works on each picture puzzle.

Show pictures whose name begin with s or j. Let the children identify it by producing their initial sounds.

Play the Flea, Fly, Flew

Play cards with pictures or names that start with s or j. Shuffle the cards. Let the children place together all cards that begin with s and cards that begins with j.

Sit on a circle do the action for the tongue twister. Let the children repeat the words alternately. Example: • flea, fly, flew (2x) • fly, flew, flea (2x) • flew, flea, fly (2x) Let pupils draw five things that start with Ff and Ii.

Talk about the picture. What sound does each start with? Sound off Oo while showing the letter Oo.

Voom, Voom Zoom, Zoom Voom, Zoom Zoom, Voom

Write letter Oo in the air. Do body movement. The whole class forms a big circle and small circles.

Let the children give words from the rhyme that starts with v and z.

Ask: Whose name starts with Oo? e.g. Orly, Oscar, Ocampo Look around and find anything that starts with Oo. Expect answers like “the doughnut looks like the letter Oo.”

Game: Wall/Table Push (PEHT) Do wall/table push while doing oral skip counting. Shooting Ring, (PEHT) Catch a Falling Star (PEHT) Game: “Skipping Rope” skip count by 2s, 5s, 10s
