Lesson Plan 16th September 2009 High school: Francisco Bauzá. Group: 4° 13 Time allotted: 35 minutes. Objetives: • To make students aware of a growing problem as it is the disappearance of rainforests. • To put into practice ICTs. • To provide students with a learning tool that engages them in the learning process as “digital natives” Assumptions: Students have worked with places and rainforests and know about the topic. Anticipated problems: 1- Technological support may not work. 2- The system may be working too slowly and it may take time to log in. Possible solutions: 1-The teacher will replace the work with computers by worksheets with the necessary material for students taken from the links prepared for the lesson. 2- The teacher will take advantage of students’ prior knowledge to answer the key question. Objective
The teacher sets the situation to the students: our planet has an extremely big problem. Do you know which the problem is? Why are rainforest disappearing? Do you think we can save the rainforest? The teacher writes on the board key vocabulary and explains their meaning.

The teacher tells the students to imagine they are ecowarriors and they have to convince other people to save the rainforest. The teacher tells the students they are going to surf the net to find necessary information about what is happening with rainforest to build a poster/leaflet.
