From Cheryl’s Desk Happy New Year! Reflecting back this past year, it was filled with excitement! We saw a record number of residents participating in numerous outings and community opportunities at both Watkins Manor and AMM/RMM. Thank you Nola and Jenni for keeping our groups active! We had 100% of our staff participate in our annual Employee Pride Survey. From that survey we were able to identify things they need as a group to grow and feel successful and engaged in their work. We adopted the Aging Services of Minnesota’s Code of Ethics and Guiding Principles of Dementia care; an industry standard that we felt aligned with and complimented our own mission, vision, and values. We had a great response from residents and families returning our satisfaction survey. Of those returned, we had 100% indicate that they had overall satisfaction, would recommend us to others, felt safe and cared for by competent staff. What a great feeling … thank you. Last, but not least, we chose to not have a rate increase and are working everyday to make good financial decisions to keep the cost for our residents down. Thank you for choosing and having confidence in our Winona Health Assisted Living facilities. We look forward to 2009 and the opportunities it will bring for all of us!
