INTRODUCTION
TCIC is a large insurance company which believes strongly in personal development of employees. Rajesh-22 yrs old, going to be supervisor in the policy renewal dept, replacing manohar, a 34 years experienced person in TCIC and employee. Rajesh have spent two summers working for TCIC, in different jobs and also in policy renewal dept., so he is familiar with his job and knows most of his group members. His job- direct the activities of 22 clerks- of all age. No problems with his soon-to-be subordinates except subash, an experienced old member in the department.
INFLUENCING FACTOR TO BE A LEADER
Management studies and skills. Prior experience in different ground work jobs in TCIC. Employees are matriculates, so he can easily handle them. Familiar in management tactics used by his predecessor, and having employee relationship. Moreover he has a well experienced person as his group member.
LEADERSHIP STYLES
Bureaucratic leader (Weber, 1905) structured, procedural, no space to explore new ways.
Democratic leader (Lewin, Lippitt,1939) accepts team's ideas, two way hierarchy.
Charismatic leader (Weber, 1905) infusing energy and eagerness into team members.
Laissez-faire or free-rein style (Lewin, Lippitt, & white1939) leader acts as a passive observer.
Autocratic leader (Lewin, Lippitt, & White, 1939) power to make decisions alone, having total authority.
Transformation leader (Burns, 1978) motivates its team to be effective and efficient.
LEADERS SHOULD FOCUS ON Nature of work. Followers i.e.) subordinates. Leadership style. Organizational environment. Decision making regarding crisis of - organization and subordinates.

- Leaders change teams or organizations by creating, communicating, and modeling a vision for the organization or work unit, and inspiring employees to serve for that vision.
Managing - Experienced subordinate Mainly discuss with him to take decision ,use his experience in favorable manner. Acknowledge their contributions. Treat them wisely. Don't compel your own thoughts over him, explain it in a acceptable manner.
