It was about 9:30 in the morning and we were in the room planning on making plans for the day. All of a sudden water just started coming in between the wall and the roof. It came in very fast and then the next minute I was trapped on the floor underneath the bed which had turned over on top of me. The roof of the hut was turned off by the force of the water and both Fernando and I were taken out of the hut and it just felt like we were drowning immediately. It was just a huge force and I had no sense of direction whatsoever. The only direction that I knew was up and we were washed out and ended up popping up together.
