IF you have not registered your student for next year, you are running out of time, in fact you are out of time. You missed the deadline and will now be responsible for the first check difference. If you have not renewed, please do so now. Please call the office and let us know where you are in this process. We can help if you need our assistance. Remember there is a $100 registration fee per student for the coming school year. If you need to split this into separate $50 payments, let the office know. Your student is not officially reenrolled and your space is not guaranteed until you do this.

Post Planning and Tools for Teaching I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and have mastered some methods to beat the heat. Following the formal end of school for students, the faculty spent a week of post planning, getting ideas ready for the next school year. We had some lively discussions as we enjoy working with each other and sharing ideas. Throughout the summer teachers will cogitate on the Essential Question of Enough? During the second week of summer "vacation", most of the faculty participated in Arts for Learning: Tools for Teaching sponsored by UNF's Fine Arts Center, The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville and The Florida Kennedy Center. This week long program is composed of daily workshops in which teachers become students and get to relive all the old fears of being a student again! My first workshop required me to move thru dance, the next tested my limited music knowledge and my last one necessitated drawing and painting. (I'll even show you my work.) Even those who do not know me might appreciate the challenge a long time history teacher would face in classes that require dancing, music and drawing. I hope that all of my future students will benefit from the experiences of these workshops. --Ms. Gill
